October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and we have released a new online resource for Vocational Rehabilitation counselors and people with disabilities called the VR Self-Employment Guide.

Rural Hub for COVID-19 Outreach

Funding from the Association of University Centers on Disabilities has allowed a team at the Rural Institute for Inclusive Communities to create a Rural Hub for COVID-19 Vaccination Outreach that hopes to develop materials and work with the disability community to improve understanding of and access to vaccinations.

Exploring vaccine hesitancy

A new paper explores a survey on vaccination hesitancy among adult Americans with disabilities to see why people who often experience the worst effects of COVID-19 may not be choosing to receive the vaccine.
