Welcome to Child Care Plus!

The Child Care plus+ program was based at the Rural Institute from 1987 to 2012. The Center supported and promoted inclusive early childhood environments nationally. Child Care plus+ was funded by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services and several federal grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Child Care Plusí mission was to share knowledge, foster skills, and encourage attitudes that promote inclusion as a core component of excellence in early childhood. Child Care Plus envisioned a world where meeting the needs of every child is a natural part of everyday life.

Child Care Plus is not currently an active or funded project. However, the materials are still relevant and requested. Rural Institute staff members updated the Child Care Plus materials and website in 2021.
